Changes and cancellation
Changes and Cancellation
Two parties, two sets of terms, and the useful thing is knowing which one you are dealing with. Reviewed August 8, 2026.
This counter charges nothing, ever
Not for a quote, not for placing a reservation, not for changing the dates on one, not for cancelling one, and not for cancelling one an hour before you were due to arrive. There is no card field anywhere on this site and no money passes between a traveler and Holdyard LLC at any point.
So everything below about money is about the operator, and the operator's own terms govern it.
Changing the dates
Flexible changes to dates are ordinary here. Write to [email protected] with the reservation, the old dates and the new ones on one page, and the change goes to the lot the same posted day.
Three things can come back:
- The new dates are available and the rate is the same. Commonest.
- The new dates are available at a different rate, because a longer or shorter stay prices differently, or because the stay has moved into a different month. Your original quote already names the rate for a day beyond the dates, so at least one half of this is not a surprise.
- The new dates are not available. Then they are not, and no correspondence changes a capacity. The counter says so quickly and quotes what else answered.
Cancelling
Write to [email protected], or telephone during posted hours. This counter cancels its own record immediately and tells the lot the same posted day.
What the operator does about money is the operator's arrangement, and it is the thing to have asked about before booking rather than after. Most lots in this city take nothing in advance, in which case there is nothing to return. Where a lot does take something in advance, its terms say what happens, and this counter will put the question to it as part of a quote if you tick nothing else at all.
flexible_cancellation is marked not stated on the claims sheet, and this page is why: the adjective would be describing somebody else's terms, which vary from lot to lot and can change without telling this counter.
If the car comes back late
Not a cancellation, and it has its own line. The rate for a day beyond your dates is named in the quote before you travel: the slip rate. Telephoning before the day usually avoids an addition for an unannounced overrun where a lot levies one; the additions table on rates lists it.
If the flight is cancelled and you never go
Tell the counter and the record closes. No charge from here. Whether the lot charges anything depends on whether it took anything, which is the same question as above.
If a lot cannot take the car when you arrive
Then the lot has failed to honor a record and that is worth telling this counter, because it decides whether that lot stays in future quotes. What this counter cannot do is compensate anybody: it holds no money, arranges no insurance, and has no authority over an operator's ground. What nobody confirms is the page about the limits of any promise available here.
